Knowing when to stop

May 19, 2011 § Leave a comment

Well the hands seem better. Now I am faced with another issue. Is it finished? Is it time to stop painting. Sometimes there is no question, you feel it. Other times it is not so clear and you risk over painting and ruining a work. You have to stop painting and look. Sometimes you have to put the work away and come back to it days, weeks and sometimes months later, to see what you have or have not done.
