A week ago I was in my Minneapolis studio working on still-lifes to get the creative juices going again after painter’s block. I finished two paintings and there is one more that is currently just drawn but not painted. Now back in New Amsterdam (NYC) I am working on a figurative work that was left on the easel when I went to the mid west.
There is so much to say about this work, but for now I will keep my mouth shut and just show you what I am doing. When and if it get finished, we can talk

Painting Again

Inspired by a small ceramic pot from the Minneapolis Institutes of Art, I have been painting still-lives related to it. I am focused on drawing and on a painting approach closer to pure watercolor rather than the more opaque egg tempera method that I have been using in the recent past.
The real point in all this is that I am back to work with my painting and for that I am happy.

Painter’s block is gone. I have been busy with many things but I have also been painting. Images to follow soon. It is too late in the evening for a posting with images, tomorrow perhaps…
