I forgot

Below I have a description of how I mix egg yolk with my gouache paint.  I forgot to say why I do this.  The reason is that once the egg yolk is added, the paint works more like it is oil based rather than water based.  It allows for more painterly gestures with my brush and I can also build layers of paint; not a deep as what can be done with oil paint but there is some depth.  The main reason for the egg in the paint however is I just like the way it feels between brush and paper.
